The Hijab- a blessing from Allah, the essence of which is enjoyed by the practising muslimah. Although it is one of the commandments of Allah, starting on this journey and sticking onto this path is difficult for many muslimahs. Hijab doesn’t make us less beautiful in any way, rather it gives a woman a sense of security, guards her honour and introduces her as a dignified person to the society. It is truly such a beautiful sight when we see Muslim women across the world cover up for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa ta’la alone.
For many this was an easy enough choice, but for some sisters, donning the obligatory hijab has been a path they had to choose after certain inspiration and guidance from Allah, Alhamdulillah. And so, in this series of podcast - “The Hijab Diaries”, you are invited to join us as we converse with sisters sharing their struggles and journey towards hijab, fighting their own nafs and desires, facing family opposition and societal pressure, and hear how they were able to overcome the fear of being judged (an attitude that unfortunately plagues our community even today).
